Changes to the Alberta Rural Remote Northern Program

Effective March 31, 2021, the following changes to RRNP will be made:
Flat Fee (FF) payments will be eliminated.
Variable Fee Premium (VFP) payment component will be maintained, but will be assessed on the basis of a new eligible community list and new premium percentage for each eligible community. The eligible community list will be revised through consultation with the Alberta Medical Association through appropriate channels.
